Each of our chapters develops unique programs tailored to their community’s needs, creating a diverse portfolio of health initiatives across the nation.

Universal Health Aid has an opening for a Financial Officer on our national board. Title is negotiable based on qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend monthly online board meetings and report to the CEO
  • Oversee all finances and mentor chapter finance officers
  • Manage financial records and create the national budget
  • Audit and balance all purchases and bank account activity
  • Report necessary information to the IRS as needed
  • Research and apply for grants and funding opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree

Universal Health Aid has an opening for a Marketing & Brand Officer on our national board. Title is negotiable based on qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all marketing, branding, and public relations
  • Mentor and guide branding across all UHA chapters
  • Manage all social media and public communication, including the website and Facebook pages
  • Create and distribute press releases as needed

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in marketing and branding
  • Interest or experience in graphic design (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Ability to cultivate meaningful relationships outside of UHA

Universal Health Aid has an opening for an Operating Officer on our national board. Title is negotiable based on qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend monthly online board meetings and report to the CEO
  • Manage chapter needs closely and provide guidance where needed
  • Work with Chapter Directors to coordinate supply sharing and ordering
  • Help manage electronic services including Google Apps, Amazon, Slack, and Trello
  • Assist with auditing alongside the CFO as needed

Core Responsibilities

  • Partner with CEO on high-level external engagement, stakeholder relations, and strategic initiatives
  • Design and implement comprehensive impact measurement frameworks and data-driven reporting systems
  • Coordinate cross-functional partnership strategies with COO, CFO, and executive leadership
  • Oversee all programmatic initiatives ensuring strategic alignment with UHA's mission
  • Manage external program evaluations, impact assessments, and stakeholder reporting
  • Lead evidence-based program optimization, expansion decisions, and scaling strategies
  • Direct execution of national initiatives and multi-chapter collaborative programs
  • Serve as strategic liaison between Executive Leadership and Chapter Strategy teams for development initiatives
  • Create standardized program playbooks, toolkits, and best-practice resources for chapter implementation
  • Identify systemic challenges and spearhead organizational improvement initiatives

Key Deliverables

Strategic Programming and Partnerships:

  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews of the chapter
  • Create annual impact measurement framework with standardized KPIs across all programs
  • Produce annual organizational impact reports for board, stakeholders, and funders
  • Launch new strategic initiatives annually with full implementation plans
  • Establish 5-7 new strategic partnerships annually with healthcare organizations, academic institutions, or policy groups
  • Maintain partnership database with up-to-date contact information and engagement history
  • Create powerpoints, onboarding documents, marketing plans, and strategic guidelines
  • Develop case studies and success stories for organizational promotion

Chapter Development & Support:

  • Create standardized program toolkits for 5 core UHA initiatives
  • Establish chapter performance dashboard tracking engagement, outcomes, and growth metrics
  • Conduct quarterly chapter leader training sessions on program implementation
  • Support the CEO on high-level donor meetings and board meeting preparation
  • Lead annual strategic planning retreat preparation and facilitation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as junior or senior at accredited college/university; Bachelor's degree preferred, Master's in Public Health, Public Policy, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in program management, partnership development, or strategic planning preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in nonprofit operations, healthcare policy, or mission-driven organizations
  • Proven track record of managing multi-stakeholder partnerships and external relationships
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and impact measurement
  • Excellent project management capabilities with ability to coordinate across multiple teams
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for external representation
  • Experience in communications, fundraising, or stakeholder reporting preferred
  • Experience with UHA or in healthcare, public health, or policy advocacy
  • Previous board or executive team experience in nonprofit organizations
  • Familiarity with evaluation methodologies and outcome measurement
  • Network of contacts in healthcare, academic, or policy sectors

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as strategic partner and right-hand to the CEO; manage executive priorities, calendar, and key initiatives
  • Design, implement, and maintain internal operational systems (chapter operations, onboarding, documentation)
  • Coordinate Executive Team deliverables, work plans, and cross-functional project timelines
  • Plan and facilitate national team meetings, executive retreats, and strategic planning sessions
  • Serve as primary liaison for chapter administrative support, including contract management and financial coordination
  • Bridge communication between Executive Team and chapter leadership on strategic initiatives
  • Lead high-priority special projects and organizational improvement initiatives
  • Support board relations, executive reporting, and governance compliance
  • Proactively identify operational inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Key Deliverables

Administrative Excellence:

  • Organize and facilitate 10 national team meetings annually with detailed agendas, minutes, and action items, and disseminate to team members following each meeting
  • Maintain 100% accuracy in contract processing (financial, branding) and PEX card distribution within 5 business days of requests
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive filing system for all organizational documents in Google Drive
  • Create standardized templates and workflows for recurring processes

Strategic Coordination:

  • Plan and execute the annual UHA retreat and Board Meeting, including logistics, agenda, and materials
  • Maintain a real-time national Trello board with 95% task completion tracking

Organizational Development:

  • Increase chapter engagement on strategic platforms by 25% year-over-year
  • Build a comprehensive alumni and member database with quarterly updates
  • Develop resource libraries and best-practice toolkits for chapter operations
  • Create onboarding systems that reduce new member integration time by 30%

Executive Support:

  • Prepare executive briefings, presentations, and board reports
  • Coordinate the CEO's calendar and manage competing priorities
  • Track and report on organizational KPIs and deliverable completion rates

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as junior or senior at accredited college/university
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree strongly preferred
  • Ability to attend monthly virtual meetings on Sunday or Monday evenings
  • Demonstrated experience in operations, project management, or executive support
  • Proven ability to coordinate remote teams and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Trello, Slack, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
